Day 1: Arrive in Moshi or Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) at your convenience. A private transfer will be waiting to take you to Arusha or Moshi, where you’ll have the rest of the day to relax. You’ll stay at the Hotel, situated beautifully on the slope of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the perfect place to prepare for your Mount Meru adventure. In the hotel, we’ll convene for a pre-climb briefing and equipment check, ensuring you have the necessary medical coverage and travel insurance.

Day 2: Miriakamba Hut (Full board)

We begin with a drive from Ilboru Safari Lodge in Arusha to Momela Gate. Following a brief registration at the gate, our trek begins with a fully armed ranger as our escort, providing an opportunity to observe wildlife such as elephants, zebras, giraffes, monkeys, antelopes, and often, elephants along the route. Dinner and an overnight stay await you at Miriakamba Hut. Momela Gate to Miriakamba Hut (2500 m.): 5-7 hours of walking.

Day 3: Saddle Hut (Full board)

The journey from Miriakamba Hut to the saddle below Little Meru is a shorter day but involves a steep climb. You’ll take a leisurely walk along the ridge, enjoying spectacular views of the Meru Crater and the impressive Ash Cone. After a hot lunch at Saddle Hut, there’s an option for a short climb to the summit of Little Meru (3,820m) to witness superb views shortly before sunset. Dinner and an overnight stay are at Saddle Hut. Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut (3500 m.): 3-5 hours of walking.

Day 4: Saddle Hut to the summit to Miriakamba Hut (Full board)

Around 1:30 a.m., we embark on an early climb, ascending steeply to Rhino Point (3,800 m.), then continuing to Cobra Point (4350m). You’ll reach the summit (4,566 m) just in time for sunrise, with a chance to catch a glimpse of Kilimanjaro Peak above the clouds if conditions allow. The final leg of the climb involves navigating a spectacular narrow ridgeline positioned between the sheer inner cliffs and the sloping outer wall of the crater. Following a brief rest and brunch at Saddle Hut, our descent to Meriakamba Hut begins. Saddle Hut to the summit to Miriakamba Hut: 10-12 hours of walking.

Day 5: Miriakamba Hut to Momella Gate to Arusha (Full board)

A short and rapid descent leads through open grassland and mixed forest, offering the possibility of spotting wildlife before reaching Momella Gate in the late morning. At Momella Gate, your return transfer will be waiting to take you to Arusha at Ilboru Safari Lodge. Miriakamba Hut to Momella Gate: 2-3 hours of walking.

Day 6: Depart Arusha (None)

Your journey concludes as you depart from Arusha to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), with a private departure transfer arranged for your convenience.

    Day 1: Nairobi- Nanyuki – Old Moses camp ( 3,300m) 3-4 hrs, 9km, 680m ascent.

    After being picked up in Nairobi, you’ll be driven to Nanyuki town for lunch, crossing the equator en route to the Sirimon Park gate (2,660m). From the entrance, we’ll trek up through magnificent montane forest, bamboo, and giant heather zones before reaching the high-altitude moorland and our first hut (Old Moses camp) for dinner and overnight.

    The gentle trek takes 3 – 4 hrs, gaining an elevation of 680m.

    Day 2: Old Moses – Shipton camp (4,236m). 7 hrs, 14km,900m ascent

    On this day, we’ll ascend the spectacular Mackinder Valley, passing strange giant groundsel and lobelia plants to emerge onto what looks like a set from Star Trek – Shipton’s Camp at 4,236m. There is a surreal setting below the towering peaks and glaciers, with its resident populations of bizarre rock hyrax and beautiful sunbirds.

    Day 3: Full Day acclimatization.

    For better acclimatization, you can take a rest day at the Shipton camp. Short walks/day hikes are possible on the summit climb to Oblong and Hausberg tarns, gaining an elevation of 370m before returning to the camp for lunch. The afternoon is at leisure.

    Day 4: Shipton Camp – Mackinders Camp (4,300m) 4 hrs, 7km, 300m ascent

    From Shipton’s camp, the trail leads to Kami camp below the north face of Batian. Continuing west – southwest, the trail climbs up switchbacks in the fine snow before reaching Hausberg Col at 4,590m. We will descend into the upper Hausberg valley and rest at the oblong and Hausberg tarns. Ascending to the crest of a ridge known as Arthur’s seat, we see the trail winding along with a beautiful series of rock ledges. We will descend to Mackinder’s camp for the night.

    Day 5: Mackinders Camp – Point Lenana (4,985m) – Bandas. 11-12 hrs, 685m ascent, 2,080m descent.

    An early 2:30 am start for an attempt to reach Point Lenana in time for sunrise. The climb takes 4 hrs, and to add to the exhilaration, Kilimanjaro is also visible on the horizon. Descend to Mintos hut for a full breakfast. After a short rest, descend further to Mt Kenya bandas through the gorges valley for dinner & overnight. You can enjoy log fires, hot showers, and a comfortable bed at the Bandas!

    Day 6: Meru Bandas – Chogoria town – Nairobi. 2 hrs, 10km walk.

    After breakfast, descend on a broad track through bamboo and virgin rainforest to meet the vehicle for the return journey to Nairobi, usually arriving in the mid to late afternoon.

      Day1: Arrive in Moshi

      You will stay at the Hotel, a beautiful Hotel located on the lower slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro and is a perfect place to prepare you for adventure. We will gather at 5:30 pm for a pre-climb briefing and an equipment check. We will also confirm you have the appropriate mandatory medical coverage and travel insurance.

      Day 2: Mti Mkubwa Camp (Full board)

      After breakfast at the hotel in Arusha, we drive approximately 2 hours through the rural countryside to the Londrossi Gate. For the necessary park registration formalities at the Londorossi National Park gate, we drive through varied farmland with open views over the plains to reach the Lemosho road head. We start our ascent along the forest trail. We camp at Lemosho Mti Mkubwa Camp. Londrossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,650 m); 3-4 hours walking.

      Day 3: Shira Camp 1 (Full board)

      We leave the forest behind now; the trail climbs steadily with expansive views to reach the rim of the Shira Plateau. A full day trekking with a slow and steady pace up to Shira Camp.Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira Camp 1 (3,550 m): 6-7 hours walking.

      Day 4: Shira Camp 2 (Full board)

      Today we follow an easy path to the summit of Shira Cathedral before reaching the next camp at Camp 2. As this camp is quite exposed, it can be substantially colder than the previous night, with temperatures dropping to well below freezing. Shira Camp 1 to Shira Camp 2(3,840 m): 3-5 hours walking.

      Day 5: Moir Hut (Full Board)

      Today we walk on a gentle ascent and panoramic views. We traverse the southwest side of Kilimanjaro, passing underneath the Lava Tower and the final section of the Western Breach. After hot lunch at the bottom of the Lava Tower (4,600 m.), Shortly after the tower, we come to a second junction, which leads to the Arrow Glacier. We then continue to descend overnight at Moir Hut.

      Day 6: Buffalo Camp (Full Board)

      A moderately steep climb out of Moir Valley leads us to the Northern Circuit trail. The route follows a series of inclines and declines, skirting around the northern slopes of Kibo to Buffalo Camp. Spectacular views of plains north of Kilimanjaro stretch as far as the eye can see to the Kenyan / Tanzanian border. You will arrive at Buffalo Camp just after midday, where you will have lunch and have time to rest.

      Day 7: Third Cave (Full Board)

      This day starts with climbing up the Buffalo Ridge and down into Pofu Camp, where lunch is served. We continue East around the Northern slopes to the Rongai Third Cave. Today’s climb is shorter than the day before, and you should be feeling better acclimatized to the altitude at this point.

      Day 8: School hut (Full Board)

      You will see ascent and over the Saddle, which sits between the peaks of Kibo and Mawenzi Peak. Continue Southwest to School Hut, where you will serve you an early dinner and the rest as you will begin just before midnight to start your summit attempt.

      Day 9: School Hut to Summit to Mweka Camp (Full Board)

      Wake up before midnight in the cover of darkness. We begin a steep climb over loose volcanic scree with some well-graded zig-zags, and a slow but steady pace will take us to the rim of the main crater, Stella Point 5,735m. We will rest there for a few minutes to enjoy the sunrise over Mawenzi. Those who are still feeling good can continue slowly to make the two hour round trip from here along the crater rim to the central peak (5,895 m), which is the highest point in Africa. After a few minutes to appreciate your accomplishment, we descend to Barafu is amazingly fast. We stop at Barafu Camp for some refreshment; we continue to descend to reach Mweka Camp. Barafu Camp to Summit to Mweka Camp (3100 m): 13-15 hours walking.

      Da10: Mweka Gate to Moshi (Full Board

      A gentle walk takes us down through the rainforest to the Mweka gate. Successful climbers will receive their summit certificates. After lunch, we drive back to Moshi for dinner and overnight. Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate: 3-5 hours walking.

      Day 11: Departure day

      After saying goodbye to our team in operation, you need a Private departure transfer from Moshi to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your flight unless you have an option to have Safari or any other option we will discuss.

        After breakfast at your hotel transfer by vehicle Lukoma village then take a 45 minutes boat to Mahale National Park – afternoon relax.

        The park like its northerly neighbor Gombe is home to some of Africa’s last remaining wild chimpanzees, a population of roughly 900, they are habituated to human visitors by a Japanese research project founded in the 1960s.Tracking the chimps of Mahale is a magical experience.

        Mahale is located in the Western Tanzania to the South of Kigoma town, it is bordering Lake Tanganyika-the World’s longest, second deepest and least polluted freshwater lake-harboring an estimated 1000 fish species.

          Day 2: Met Station – Mackinders camp (4,300m).5-6 hrs, 11km, 1,200m ascent.

After breakfast, begin a 5-hour descent via Mackinder’s valley to the Old Moses camp (3,300m). The descent is gentle, and it offers ample time to enjoy fascinating scenery, which includes the moorlands, before reaching the camp.

          Day 4: Old Moses (3,300m) – Nairobi. 2 hrs.

Continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), Africa’s highest point, if desired. The descent to Barafu Camp is swift, followed by a descent to Mweka Camp (3,100m).

            DAY 8: GAME DRIVE IN TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

            After breakfast, embark on a game drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its stunning wildlife. The park comes alive during dry seasons when animals gather near the Tarangire River. Spend the night in a lodge with a unique atmosphere and breathtaking views.

            Dinner and overnight at Bougainvillea Lodge: Bed, dinner, breakfast, and lunch.

            DAY 9: GAME DRIVE IN NGORONGORO CRATER

            Descend 2000 feet into the Ngorongoro Crater, a unique ecosystem. Explore the forest areas, lakes, and open savannah where lions hunt. Witness the diverse wildlife and enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater. In the evening, head to Karatu.
