Day1: Arrival in Moshi or Arusha

Upon your arrival in Moshi or Arusha, you’ll be accommodated at a beautiful hotel nestled on the lower slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. This is the ideal starting point to prepare for your extraordinary Tanzania Safari adventure.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Kickstart your safari with a morning drive to the Tarangire National Park, a stunning reserve approximately the size of Luxembourg, covering an expanse of around 2,600 km². This park showcases a diverse landscape of savannah, seasonal swamps, and towering baobab trees, providing a home to a wide array of wildlife, including Masai giraffes, buffaloes, hartebeests, eland, and the unique long-necked gerenuk. With over 550 bird species, it’s a birdwatcher’s paradise. However, it’s the mighty Tarangire Elephants that the park is renowned for. These herds, sometimes numbering up to 300 individuals, make this one of the premier locations in East Africa to observe and get up close to these magnificent creatures. After an exhilarating game drive, you’ll journey to Bougainvillea Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After a delicious breakfast, set out on a memorable adventure to the Ngorongoro Crater and descend into the caldera with a packed lunch in tow. This caldera, the world’s largest, is a sanctuary for an astonishing diversity of wildlife, from black rhinos and Grant’s gazelles to lions, leopards, and elephants. The slopes are inhabited by mountain reedbucks and provide a chance to spot buffaloes, spotted hyenas, and the rare wild dogs, among a wealth of over 500 bird species. Following an intensive game drive and a picnic lunch, you’ll leave the caldera in the afternoon and return to Arusha or the airport, arriving in the early evening.
