Day 1: Arriving Nairobi

Arrive at Nairobi airport, where you’ll be met with a private car and transferred to your hotel. Take this opportunity to relax, enjoy dinner, and prepare for your exciting Tanzania and Kenya Safari adventure. You’ll also have a short safari briefing with your driver-guide. Day 2: Safari to Masai Mara

Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive to Maasai Mara Game Reserve with a short stop at the Viewpoint for stunning views of the Rift Valley below and the distant volcanoes of Suswa and Longonot. You’ll then drive down with a quick stop at Mai Mahiu (hot water springs) before proceeding to the most celebrated Game Reserve in Africa, Maasai Mara. On your way to your lodge, keep an eye out for birds, herds of antelopes, giraffes, zebras, gazelles, and elephants. After lunch at the lodge, relax before embarking on a sunset game drive on the plains. Spend the night at a Maasai Mara camp/lodge.

Day 3: Masai Mara

Enjoy a full day in Maasai Mara, renowned for its captivating wildlife. You’ll also have the opportunity to experience a cultural visit to a Maasai boma (village) and gain insight into the unique way of life of these famous nomads. Maasai Mara is well-known for the “Big Cats,” just as featured in the BBC’s Big Cat Diary. Witness the awe-inspiring Great Wildebeests Migration, with over a million and a half herds migrating from Serengeti National Park in Tanzania in search of greener pastures and water. Day 4: Masai Mara to – Serengeti

After an early morning breakfast, begin the long drive to Serengeti National Park via the Isebania Border. During the journey, you’ll make a stop at Musoma town, situated along the largest freshwater lake in Africa. Day 5: Serengeti Game Drive full day

Start your day with an optional morning game drive and explore the boundless plains of Serengeti, aptly named “Siringet” in the Masai language for endless plains. Day 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive

After a picnic lunch, head towards the awe-inspiring Ngorongoro Crater. As you approach the rim of the crater, the stunning caldera opens up before you. With over 25,000 animals residing in this roughly 20 km-wide crater, you’re in for a treat. Enjoy the night and dinner at a Simba Campsite directly on the crater’s edge, boasting fantastic views over the caldera.

    Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Manyara

    Rise early for breakfast and a drive down into the Ngorongoro Crater with a packed lunch.         Remarkable 6-day Mount Kenya Trekking Tour, beginning in Nairobi and journeying to Old Moses Camp (3,300m), where you’ll trek through the enchanting forest and rich vegetation. The adventure continues to Shipton Camp (4,236m) via the stunning Mackinder Valley, offering surreal landscapes and unique wildlife. A day of acclimatization follows, with hikes to Oblong and Hausberg tarns. On day four, ascend to Mackinder’s Camp (4,300m) for more captivating views. Day five starts with an early summit attempt to Point Lenana (4,985m) for a breathtaking sunrise and a glimpse of Kilimanjaro. Descend to Mount Kenya Bandas for a relaxing evening. The journey concludes on day six with a descent through lush forests to meet your return transport to Nairobi, leaving you with lasting memories of this mountainous adventure.

        Day 1: Nairobi- Nanyuki – Old Moses camp ( 3,300m) 3-4 hrs, 9km, 680m ascent.

        After being picked up in Nairobi, you’ll be driven to Nanyuki town for lunch, crossing the equator en route to the Sirimon Park gate (2,660m). From the entrance, we’ll trek up through magnificent montane forest, bamboo, and giant heather zones before reaching the high-altitude moorland and our first hut (Old Moses camp) for dinner and overnight.

        The gentle trek takes 3 – 4 hrs, gaining an elevation of 680m.

        Day 2: Old Moses – Shipton camp (4,236m). 7 hrs, 14km,900m ascent

        On this day, we’ll ascend the spectacular Mackinder Valley, passing strange giant groundsel and lobelia plants to emerge onto what looks like a set from Star Trek – Shipton’s Camp at 4,236m. There is a surreal setting below the towering peaks and glaciers, with its resident populations of bizarre rock hyrax and beautiful sunbirds.

        Day 3: Full Day acclimatization.

        For better acclimatization, you can take a rest day at the Shipton camp. Short walks/day hikes are possible on the summit climb to Oblong and Hausberg tarns, gaining an elevation of 370m before returning to the camp for lunch. The afternoon is at leisure.

        Day 4: Shipton Camp – Mackinders Camp (4,300m) 4 hrs, 7km, 300m ascent

        From Shipton’s camp, the trail leads to Kami camp below the north face of Batian. Continuing west – southwest, the trail climbs up switchbacks in the fine snow before reaching Hausberg Col at 4,590m. We will descend into the upper Hausberg valley and rest at the oblong and Hausberg tarns. Ascending to the crest of a ridge known as Arthur’s seat, we see the trail winding along with a beautiful series of rock ledges. We will descend to Mackinder’s camp for the night.

        Day 5: Mackinders Camp – Point Lenana (4,985m) – Bandas. 11-12 hrs, 685m ascent, 2,080m descent.

        An early 2:30 am start for an attempt to reach Point Lenana in time for sunrise. The climb takes 4 hrs, and to add to the exhilaration, Kilimanjaro is also visible on the horizon. Descend to Mintos hut for a full breakfast. After a short rest, descend further to Mt Kenya bandas through the gorges valley for dinner & overnight. You can enjoy log fires, hot showers, and a comfortable bed at the Bandas!

        Day 6: Meru Bandas – Chogoria town – Nairobi. 2 hrs, 10km walk.

        After breakfast, descend on a broad track through bamboo and virgin rainforest to meet the vehicle for the return journey to Nairobi, usually arriving in the mid to late afternoon.

          Day 1 – Nairobi to Masai Mara

          Your Kenya Safari and Tanzania Safari adventure begins with a 7:30 AM pickup from your Nairobi hotel or Airport and drive to Masai Mara Kenya Safari. This drive will take about 5 to 6.5 hours with a scenic stopover at Great Rift Valley. Arrive in Masai Mara Kenya Safari shortly after noon and check into your lodge/camp, have hot lunch and then depart for an afternoon game drive.

          After the game drive, we head back to lodge/camp to reach by around 5:30 or 6:00 PM, freshen up and enjoy a freshly prepared Dinner. Overnight at your lodge.

          Note: The last 1-hour drive to Masai Mara Kenya Safari is on the corrugated and bumpy road and may not be comfortable for clients with back problems. Clients with back problems can consider flying directly to (and out of) Masai Mara Kenya Safari.

          Day 2 – Masai Mara

          Today’s itinerary is flexible, and you can discuss with your guide on the previous evening and plan for today’s schedule.

          You can either have a relaxed breakfast and depart for full day game drives around 9:00 AM with packed lunch and return back to lodge late afternoon around 6:00 PM. Or you can depart at 6:00 AM on an early morning game drive (This is the best time to see the animals and a good chance to witness hunt/kill). Later return to accommodation for breakfast and relax for a bit and depart on an afternoon game drive with packed lunch. you will stop at a picnic spot for having packed lunch and later depart on a game drive till the park is closed. Around 6:00 PM return to lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

          Day 3 – Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru

          After a relaxed breakfast and around 10:00 AM checkout and Depart to Lake Nakuru National Park, which is about a 6.5-hour drive. Upon reaching Lake Nakuru National Park lodge, check-in, have dinner and relax for the day.

          Note: Morning game drives in Masai Mara Kenya Safari can be added on day 3 by paying an extra USD 85 PP.
          Note: Depending on your itinerary, the location of the lodge in Nakuru, and the plan for the next day (if going to Amboseli National Park, for example), we might skip morning game drives in Masai Mara Kenya Safari this day and proceed to Nakuru directly to reach by around 2:00 PM and do afternoon game drives in Lake Nakuru National Park.

          Day 4 – Lake Nakuru National Park to Amboseli National Park

          After an early breakfast, depart to Amboseli National Park, which is about a 7-hour drive. Upon arrival, check-in to the lodge, have lunch, and start your afternoon safari in Amboseli National Park. You can do game drives until about 6:00 PM before returning to your camp/lodge for a freshly prepared dinner. Overnight stay at your Camp/Lodge.

          Note: Depending on your itinerary, starting time in Nakuru, you might also depart with packed lunch from Nakuru.

          Day 5 – Amboseli National Park to Nairobi

          Wake up early in the morning and proceed to Amboseli National Park for game drives around 6:15 AM. Continue with game drives until around 9:00 AM and then head back to camp for breakfast. After breakfast, check out from the camp and proceed to Nairobi Safari to reach by around 3:00 PM.

            Day1: Arrive in Moshi

            You will stay at the Hotel, a beautiful Hotel located on the lower slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro and is a perfect place to prepare you for adventure. We will gather at 5:30 pm for a pre-climb briefing and an equipment check. We will also confirm you have the appropriate mandatory medical coverage and travel insurance.

            Day 2: Mti Mkubwa Camp (Full board)

            After breakfast at the hotel in Arusha, we drive approximately 2 hours through the rural countryside to the Londrossi Gate. For the necessary park registration formalities at the Londorossi National Park gate, we drive through varied farmland with open views over the plains to reach the Lemosho road head. We start our ascent along the forest trail. We camp at Lemosho Mti Mkubwa Camp. Londrossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,650 m); 3-4 hours walking.

            Day 3: Shira Camp 1 (Full board)

            We leave the forest behind now; the trail climbs steadily with expansive views to reach the rim of the Shira Plateau. A full day trekking with a slow and steady pace up to Shira Camp.Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira Camp 1 (3,550 m): 6-7 hours walking.

            Day 4: Shira Camp 2 (Full board)

            Today we follow an easy path to the summit of Shira Cathedral before reaching the next camp at Camp 2. As this camp is quite exposed, it can be substantially colder than the previous night, with temperatures dropping to well below freezing. Shira Camp 1 to Shira Camp 2(3,840 m): 3-5 hours walking.

            Day 5: Moir Hut (Full Board)

            Today we walk on a gentle ascent and panoramic views. We traverse the southwest side of Kilimanjaro, passing underneath the Lava Tower and the final section of the Western Breach. After hot lunch at the bottom of the Lava Tower (4,600 m.), Shortly after the tower, we come to a second junction, which leads to the Arrow Glacier. We then continue to descend overnight at Moir Hut.

            Day 6: Buffalo Camp (Full Board)

            A moderately steep climb out of Moir Valley leads us to the Northern Circuit trail. The route follows a series of inclines and declines, skirting around the northern slopes of Kibo to Buffalo Camp. Spectacular views of plains north of Kilimanjaro stretch as far as the eye can see to the Kenyan / Tanzanian border. You will arrive at Buffalo Camp just after midday, where you will have lunch and have time to rest.

            Day 7: Third Cave (Full Board)

            This day starts with climbing up the Buffalo Ridge and down into Pofu Camp, where lunch is served. We continue East around the Northern slopes to the Rongai Third Cave. Today’s climb is shorter than the day before, and you should be feeling better acclimatized to the altitude at this point.

            Day 8: School hut (Full Board)

            You will see ascent and over the Saddle, which sits between the peaks of Kibo and Mawenzi Peak. Continue Southwest to School Hut, where you will serve you an early dinner and the rest as you will begin just before midnight to start your summit attempt.

            Day 9: School Hut to Summit to Mweka Camp (Full Board)

            Wake up before midnight in the cover of darkness. We begin a steep climb over loose volcanic scree with some well-graded zig-zags, and a slow but steady pace will take us to the rim of the main crater, Stella Point 5,735m. We will rest there for a few minutes to enjoy the sunrise over Mawenzi. Those who are still feeling good can continue slowly to make the two hour round trip from here along the crater rim to the central peak (5,895 m), which is the highest point in Africa. After a few minutes to appreciate your accomplishment, we descend to Barafu is amazingly fast. We stop at Barafu Camp for some refreshment; we continue to descend to reach Mweka Camp. Barafu Camp to Summit to Mweka Camp (3100 m): 13-15 hours walking.

            Da10: Mweka Gate to Moshi (Full Board

            A gentle walk takes us down through the rainforest to the Mweka gate. Successful climbers will receive their summit certificates. After lunch, we drive back to Moshi for dinner and overnight. Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate: 3-5 hours walking.

            Day 11: Departure day

The lakeshore at Manyara teems with birdlife, and while you are looking for the birds, you might spot one of the elusive tree-climbing lions. There are a surprising number of other large mammals, and the striking cliffs on the Rift escarpment form a dramatic backdrop. In the late afternoon, we make a short journey from the park to Arusha.
