This 3-day safari adventure takes you on a whirlwind tour of the Serengeti National Park, focusing on abundant wildlife viewing. Day 1 features a scenic drive and afternoon game drive in the Serengeti, followed by an overnight stay at Jambo campsite. Day 2 offers a choice of relaxed or early morning game drives, exploring the central Serengeti’s rich wildlife habitats around the Seronera River. You’ll spend the night at Simba campsite. Day 3 includes a morning game drive en route to the Ngorongoro Crater for a spectacular afternoon viewing of the crater’s diverse wildlife. The tour concludes with a scenic drive back to Arusha.

DAY 1: arusha to serengeti national park.

Your safari will begin at 7AM in the morning with a pick up from your hotel in  Arusha. With everyone aboard, you will head towards Serengeti National Park. The 240 Km drive will be covered in about 6hrs. The Serengeti, means endless plains in the local African language and watching the grassland stretch out as far as the eye can see and eventually merging with the sky at the horizon is an absolutely breathtaking view. With an overall land area of 14,763 Sq Kms, It puts our notion about distance to shame. The Serengeti also houses the glorious “Big 5” (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard). Along with the “Big 5”, a very pleasant sighting would be one of Africa’s most beautiful animals – The Impala. The Serengeti ecosystem supports the greatest remaining concentration of plains game in Africa. The legendary Serengeti National Park is the most renowned safari destination for its incredible population of lions and leopards. The central portion of the Serengeti – known as Seronera area is one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. It features the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. In seronera, one must really look out for the many lion prides that thrive in this region. You must also look out for the Serengeti “Kopjes” which are massive boulders of granite standing in a sea of grass. They provide ample shelter to a large variety of flora and fauna. A picnic lunch will be done during the day long game drive itself. The eventful day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodation.

DAY 2: full day central serengeti.

You can either have a relaxed breakfast and depart for full day game drives around 9:00 AM with packed lunch and return back to the lodge/camping late afternoon around 6:00 PM. Or you can depart at 6:00 AM on an early morning game drive. Later return to accommodation for breakfast and relax for a bit and depart on an afternoon game drive with packed lunch. You will explore the central portion of the Serengeti National Park today. The legendary Serengeti National Park is the most renowned safari destination for its incredible population of lions and leopards. The central portion of the Serengeti – known as Seronera area is one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. It features the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. During the off season of the migration, one must really look out for the many lion pride that thrive in this region. The interactions and survival of these lion pride provide an excellent game viewing experience all year round. Along with a picnic lunch during the full day game drive, the day will come to a close by around 5PM. The long day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodation.

Day 3 – Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater Tour (4 hours) to Arusha

Enjoy early breakfast and meet your guide to depart to Ngorongoro Crater located in the Ngorongoro Conservation area (Ngorongoro) with en-route game drive and picnic lunch. You will reach the crater by noon where you will have lunch. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera. It has a massive floor of about 260 sq kms with a depth of over 2000 feet. The 5-hour game drive on the crater floor will show you a lot of animal action. Keeping the camera ready is definitely recommended. The African elephant, buffalo, Black rhino, Hippos, Hyenas, Cheetahs and Lions are found in plenty. You will begin a steep ascend to the top exit of the crater by evening. This is the last leg of your safari, with a 4hr drive left to Arusha. You will be dropped off to your preferred location in Arusha. With an incredible experience and loads of memories to cherish, this is the time you bid goodbye to your team.

DAY 2: WALKING SAFARI IN ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK.

Today, you’ll embark on a full-day walking safari in Arusha National Park. Just a short drive from Arusha city, you’ll encounter Tanzania wildlife like giraffes, buffalo, zebras, and black and white colobus monkeys. You’ll explore the park’s incredible flora and fauna, including the Ngurdoto Crater. The park offers a unique opportunity for a walking safari, allowing you to get close to the wildlife. (Lunch at a picnic place; Dinner and Overnight at Mount Meru Hotel – Bed and Breakfast)

DAY 3: FULL DAY GAME DRIVE IN TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK.

Today, we venture to Tarangire National Park for an exciting game drive. This small park comes alive in the dry seasons when Tanzania’s wildlife and birdlife congregate along the Tarangire River, a permanent water source. You’ll spend the night in a lodge just outside the park with stunning views. (Dinner and Overnight at Eileen’s Trees Inn Lodge – Bed, Dinner, Breakfast, and Lunch)

DAY 4: FULL DAY TOUR TO HADZABE AND DATOGA TRIBES IN LAKE EYASI.

Start your day with a Hadzabe Tour, led by a local guide. Explore the unique culture and way of life of the Hadzabe people, East Africa’s last hunter-gatherers. In the afternoon, visit the Maasai market to experience the vibrant culture and crafts of the Maasai people. Your day ends at Ngorongoro Crater for an overnight stay. DAY 5: FULL DAY GAME DRIVE IN NGORONGORO CRATER.

Today, you’ll visit the awe-inspiring Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact volcanic crater globally, home to an abundance of wildlife, including the ‘big 5.’ Enjoy a game drive and picnic lunch in this natural wonder, often called the ‘8th Wonder of the World.’ In the afternoon, you’ll head to Lake Manyara. (Dinner and Overnight at Bougainvillea Lodge – Bed, Dinner, Breakfast, and Lunch).

DAY 6: FULL DAY GAME DRIVE IN LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK.

Depart for Lake Manyara National Park, a small yet diverse reserve with stunning landscapes, open grasslands, hot springs, dense woodlands, and the famous tree-climbing lions. The park is a birding paradise with over 350 bird species. In the afternoon, return to Arusha. (Dinner and overnight at Mount Meru Hotel on Bed and Breakfast basis)

DAY 7: ARUSHA TO KILIMANJARO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.

Depending on your flight schedule and departure point, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward travel.

Day1: Arrival in Moshi

Day 2: Moshi – Tarangire National Park

Begin your safari with a morning drive to Tarangire National Park, an expansive park known for its vast landscapes, seasonal swamps, and iconic baobab trees. Here, you’ll encounter remarkable wildlife, including the renowned Tarangire Elephants, Masai giraffes, buffaloes, and a rich birdlife with over 550 species. However, it’s the herds of elephants that Tarangire is famous for. After an extensive game drive, head to Panorama Campsite or Havenature Nature Campsite for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park

Following breakfast, embark on a journey to Serengeti National Park with a packed lunch. As you traverse the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, take a moment to revel in a breathtaking view over the Ngorongoro Crater. Your route continues to the iconic Serengeti, often referred to as the “endless plains.” This is where you’ll witness the vast grassland savannah stretching to the horizon, dotted with intriguing rock formations known as kopjes, often frequented by the Serengeti Wildlife, including predators. Depending on the season, you may also experience the breathtaking migration of thousands of animals. As the day draws to a close, arrive at your campsite in the central Serengeti, specifically in the Seronera Valley, after an enriching game drive.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Start your day with another game drive in the Serengeti National Park. In the morning, you might spot some animals you haven’t encountered yet, including the Big Five – lions, elephants, buffalos, rhinos, and leopards. After a picnic lunch, head towards the awe-inspiring Ngorongoro Crater. As you approach the rim of the crater, the stunning caldera opens up before you. With over 25,000 animals residing in this roughly 20 km-wide crater, you’re in for a treat. Enjoy the night and dinner at a Simba Campsite directly on the crater’s edge, boasting fantastic views over the caldera.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Manyara

Rise early for breakfast and a drive down into the Ngorongoro Crater with a packed lunch. This world’s largest caldera is a sanctuary for a diverse range of wildlife, including black rhinos, gazelles, lions, leopards, elephants, and more. Your adventure might also lead to sightings of buffalos, spotted hyenas, rare wild dogs, and the region’s abundant birdlife. After an intense game drive and a picnic lunch, depart the caldera in the afternoon and head to Panorama Campsite or Havenature Nature Campsite, located near Manyara Park, for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha

Following breakfast, set out for the smaller Lake Manyara National Park with a packed lunch. This park is renowned for its rich birdlife, primate-filled forests, and sprawling plains. The alkaline Lake Manyara is a central feature and home to colonies of flamingos and various water birds. While exploring, you might also spot Tarangire Giraffe, giraffes, hippos, wildebeests, impalas, and the lively groups of monkeys and baboons in the nearby forests. After an extensive game drive, return to Arusha or the airport in the afternoon.

Day 7: Departure day

Bid farewell to the team and prepare for a private departure transfer from Arusha or Moshi to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your flight.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After a delicious breakfast, set out on a memorable adventure to the Ngorongoro Crater and descend into the caldera with a packed lunch in tow. This caldera, the world’s largest, is a sanctuary for an astonishing diversity of wildlife, from black rhinos and Grant’s gazelles to lions, leopards, and elephants. The slopes are inhabited by mountain reedbucks and provide a chance to spot buffaloes, spotted hyenas, and the rare wild dogs, among a wealth of over 500 bird species. Following an intensive game drive and a picnic lunch, you’ll leave the caldera in the afternoon and return to Arusha or the airport, arriving in the early evening. Enjoy an overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 4: Departure day
